Your pet is very important to us; Clips Dog Grooming would like to assure you that every effort will be made to make your pet’s grooming experience as safe & pleasant as possible.
Safety comes first for everyone, people as well as their pets, during the grooming process.

When booking in-store, over the telephone, or via our online booking service, you are agreeing & abide to
all the terms and conditions outlined in our comprehensive terms and conditions policy.

Health or medical problems
​​
Occasionally, grooming can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming. All medical expenses for any veterinary care will be covered by the animal's owner upon agreeing to all terms & conditions.

Fleas
Should staff at Clips Dog Grooming discover fleas during any stage of the dogs groom there will be a penalty fee of £70.00 per dog, Clips Dog Grooming WILL & has the right to refuse grooming services and will cease grooming your dog/s the client will be charged £70.00 fee
(and costs of the groom for what was done up to that point).

Ticks ​
If your dog/s is found to have a tick or ticks you will be informed via telephone. If you wish for us to remove
the parasite there will be an additional £10 per tick or ticks to be removed.

Service Timing Variability
The timing for grooming services may vary depending on the breed, size, and condition of the dog, as well as the specific grooming services requested. While we strive to complete grooming sessions within the estimated time frame provided at booking, unforeseen circumstances may cause delays.
Notification of Completion
Upon completion of the grooming services, we will notify the dog owner via the contact method provided at the time of booking (e.g., phone call, WhatsApp, text message, or email).
Collecting your dog
Owners are required to collect their dogs within 20 minutes of being notified that the grooming session is complete. This is to ensure the comfort and safety of all dogs in our care and to maintain the schedule for other appointments.

Late Collection Fees
If a dog is not collected within 20 minutes of the notification, a late collection fee will be applied as follows:
£10 for the first 15 minutes beyond the initial collection window.
An additional £5 for every subsequent 15-minute period or part thereof.
The late collection fee is designed to cover the additional care and supervision required for your dog beyond the agreed-upon grooming session.
Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. If you anticipate being unable to collect your dog within the specified time frame, please inform us as soon as possible to discuss potential accommodations. However, please note that late collection fees may still apply depending on the situation.

By booking a grooming appointment with us, you agree to adhere to these terms and conditions regarding grooming timing and collection policies. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us provide the best possible care for all our canine clients.
Accidents

By agreeing to our terms and conditions, you acknowledge that although accidents are rare, there are inherent risks when handling, working with, and grooming pets. Grooming equipment used may be sharp, and despite our utmost caution and care, issues such as cuts, nicks, scratches, or quickening of nails could potentially occur, particularly if the pet is moving or wiggling. Rest assured, your pet's safety and comfort are our top priorities.
In the unlikely event of an accident deemed serious by Clips Dog Grooming, you will be promptly notified. For such serious incidents, Clips Dog Grooming will immediately seek veterinary care for your animal. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you grant Clips Dog Grooming full authorization to seek necessary medical treatment from the nearest veterinary facility in the event of any medical emergencies while your pet is in our care. It's important to understand that all veterinary costs and expenses resulting from such incidents will be the responsibility of the pet owner.
Please understand that by agreeing to our terms and conditions, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risk involved in grooming services, despite our best efforts to minimize such risks. The groomer will inform you upon collection if any incidents occurred, and while we strive to provide the best service possible, we cannot be held liable for minor incidents.

Apprentice Terms & Conditions
​
- Services Offered: Our dog grooming apprentices provides grooming services. These services may include bathing, brushing, nail trimming, clipping, scissoring, ear cleaning and trimming.
- Limited Scope: Please note that the grooming apprentices may not be able to perform advanced grooming tasks or handle aggressive or highly anxious dogs. In such cases, the apprentice will defer to the qualified groomer. Our establishment takes pride in nurturing the talents of apprentice dog groomers. While our apprentice groomers are diligently trained and supervised by experienced professionals, we acknowledge that they are in the process of building their skills and expertise.
- Quality Disclaimer: ​Clients booking appointments with apprentice dog groomers should understand that the grooming services provided may not match the standards of our seasoned professionals. Variations in quality may occur due to the learning curve and experience level of the apprentice groomers.
- Assumption of Risk: By agreeing to these terms and conditions, the customer acknowledges that the grooming apprentices are still in training and that there may be inherent risks associated with allowing an apprentice to groom their dog.
- Health and Safety: The grooming apprentices will prioritize the health and safety of the dog at all times. However, the customer understands that accidents or injuries may and can occur despite best efforts. The customer releases the grooming apprentices and Clips Dog Grooming from any liability arising from such incidents.
- While every effort is made to provide exceptional grooming services, our establishment shall not be held liable for any dissatisfaction or discrepancies in the grooming results achieved by our apprentice groomers. Clients booking appointments with apprentice groomers do so with full acknowledgment of this disclaimer.
- Customer Cooperation: The customer agrees to provide necessary information about their dog’s health, behaviour, and grooming history to ensure the apprentice can provide appropriate care.
We kindly request our clients to extend patience and understanding towards our apprentice groomers as they hone their craft. Feedback and constructive criticism are welcomed as they contribute to the professional development of our apprentice groomers.

- Feedback: We welcome feedback from customers regarding their experience with the grooming apprentices. Your input helps us improve our services and enhance the training of our apprentices.
- Payment: The pricing for grooming services provided by the apprentices may be lower than that of a qualified groomer, reflecting the apprentice’s level of experience. Payment is due at the time of service.

- Cancellation Policy: The customer agrees to provide at least 24 hours’ notice if they need to cancel or reschedule their appointment. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee.
- Agreement: By scheduling an appointment with Clips Dog Grooming and allowing the grooming apprentices to groom their dog, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.

Current vaccinations
Any new puppy clients being serviced in our salon must be up to date with all puppy vaccinations.
Clips Dog Grooming has the right to refuse any services at any time. In the event that you pets is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, Clips Dog Grooming has the right to refuse grooming services, stop grooming services, or cancel grooming services before, during, or after grooming and the client will be charged a grooming fee (for what was done up to that point).
Muzzles
Muzzling does not harm your pet and protects both pet and groomer. In some cases, muzzling may even calm a stressed pet, allowing the grooming process to continue, if a pet still acts in a way that is dangerous Clips Dog Grooming has the right to stop grooming services at any time and a service fee will be collected. We do not muzzle unless your pet gives us a reason to. Other methods are used to calm your pet, muzzling is a last resort.

Interruptions during grooming services

For the safety of the pet being groomed as well as the professional pet groomer, it is asked that you do not interrupt the groomer during grooming. If you arrive and you’ve not been messaged to say your dog is ready for collection please await a message please do not knock on the door until you’ve been messaged/called.
Matted Coats
Pets with severely matted coats require extra attention. Matts in a pet's coat grow tight, and can ultimately damage and tear the pet's skin, which provides a breeding ground for parasite infestations. Clips Dog Grooming will not cause serious or undue stress to your pet by de-matting. Mats can be very difficult to remove, they may require the pet to be shaved. Removing a heavily matted coat can cause nicks, cuts or abrasions due to skin growths trapped in the matts. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet's skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, producing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. After - effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abbrisions and failure of the hair to grow (bald patches). In some cases, pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. Prevention is the best defense by scheduling regular grooming appointments, every 4-6 weeks. If your pet needs to be shaved to remove matting, by signing below, you acknowledge that you agree to this procedure, and any risk. There will be an additional charge for this process.

Cancellations & No Shows
​​
As appointments are booked in timed slots cancellations can leave an empty slot in the schedule, that could have otherwise been used by another customer. If the booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment 50% of the groom will be due. If cancelled within a 24 hour notice period of the appointment you will be changed in full. Should you not show to your appointment you will be liable for the full cost of the groom.

Personal Data - GDPR

Clips Dog Grooming reserves the right to hold your personal information/data & your dogs information & data until instructed by yourself writing via email. If you have not returned to us within 6 months, Clips Dog Grooming will destroy your information & data in the relevant & secure manner. All information & data held by Clips Dog Grooming will NOT be sold onwards or to a third party and is kept in a secure locked cabinet or stored on a secure and passworded computer.

Satisfaction

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are unhappy for any reason and would like something adjusted we will be happy to make any adjustments when you pick-up your pet from his or her appointment. Please know once you take your pet home from the appointment or once you’ve left the salon, any return visit will be treated as a new appointment and the client will be charged the relevant grooming fee.

Photographs
​
This release form authorises Clips Dog Grooming to take photos of your pets and use them for our records, social media & company website pages.
All photographs will be taken at and on the premises of Clips Dog Grooming.
